Max says, "Mama" .... well, sort of

Now, I realize he doesn't associate Mama to me ... yet ... but it still makes me feel good! LOL

Finally... the Jumperoo won it's first battle. I was letting him jump around like a mad man, when suddenly, it became very quiet. Never a good sign. Little guy was passed out in the jumperoo!

Max was having some fun wearing Daddy's hat that Auntie Becky gave him!

First Halloween

Max had his first Halloween ... and much to many people's dismay, he did not get any candy! He did really well considering it was nap time and he was really hot in his dino costume. He looked super cute! I'm sure I had more fun showing my pride and joy off to my friends at Coldwater Creek than he did attending the party .

He couldn't wear the dino hood because his head is just too darn big! Mr. 98% of the noggin! It was funny to see other babies the same age with normal sized heads. Made me really think he's got a big one! Oh well, just means he's going to be really smart!

tubbies and two toofers

Here is a fun video of Max having a tubby. He just loves to splash around! He made quite the mess today ... soaked the counter, the cabinets, the floor ... LOL ... but we were both cracking up. He doesn't even want to come out because he's having so much fun. But, I figure its time when he's all pruney!

Wow, dem toofers sure do come in fast! Max has two toofers that are quite visible now. He chews like he's a puppy and now when he nibbles on your fingers, it can hurt. Time for the chew toys ... like a rawhide bone? aaahh... no... just kidding.

This was Max at 2 in the morning last night. It was a little cold and his two toofers were chattering, so I wrapped him up in the dino blankie Auntie Cindy gave him while I made him a bottle. He looked too darn cute not to take his picture!

Toofers!

Here is our boy... getting bigger and bigger! He's got 2 bottom teeth starting to come in . If you click on this picture to zoom in, you can see one of them! Now, that little nub is kinda sharp when he chews on your finger. All I can say is I'm glad we're done breast feeding, cuz he would have been shut off quickly otherwise!

This is just random cuteness! He looks so classic in the backpack with his bunting, baby sunglasses and binky! He is really starting to like trecking around in that now.

Big Boy!

Max is getting to be such a BIG boy! We had a nice cruise in the back pack downtown. He was all bundled up in his patagonia bunting that his Auntie Becky got for him. Which was good because it's getting a bit chilly in Northern Idaho! But not for Max, he was all cozy! We did a walk and a stop at Octoberfest. He's got quite the styling rig and likes being up high and seeing everything going on while riding on Daddy's back.

Max has officially outgrown his infant tubby and is now bathing in the sink. It's a whole new world where he can splash around and have some fun with rubber duckies! Now bath time is super duper fun.... a bit messy because he splashes water everywhere! But it's sooo funny to watch him enjoy and play so much!

We can thank Daddy for the strategic placment of the rubber duckies as to avoid future embarassment!

Max's first cold

It's official ... Max has his first cold and he's miserable! Poor little guy ... and I gave it to him! I've been fighting this thing for a week now, and being the giver that I am, passed it along to Max. Tommy has been up most of the night with him and I'm on duty now. Since I wasn't feeling great to begin with, I'm staying home. We've learned that Max hates the booger sucker outter thingie and having his nose wiped. Oh well, he better get used to it. It seems if he sleeps upwards, with his head on my shoulder, he's less congested and can breathe a little better. Everything I've read on the internet and books says cold meds for kids under 2 is not a good idea. It's all about the snot sucker and a humidifier. Ok moms out there, bring on the advice!

Max's new odoor world

Max had his first experience in the grass today! He loved it and spent most of his time ripping it out of the ground! He and Daddy had a great time exploring the new territory! They were two little peas in a pod! Doesn't get any cuter!!

Max is enjoying the cooler weather. He's been crusing in the yard with Daddy the last couple of nights. It's nice that's it's not so hot that he's uncomfortable and is enjoying being outdoors more now.

Max is starting to teeth big time. He was pretty upset last night and we had to bounce him quite a bit to keep him from fussing. Max woke up late night and Daddy did some "freeway fathering" and drove Max until he fell asleep. This little pouty face was just before his fussy period. He looks like he's about to cry.... poor little guy.

Max's dedication to the Lord

We had the most perfect day today! We dedicated Max to the Lord! He was an angel baby. He ate really well and napped before we went to chuch. So, by the time he was up infront of the church, he was all smiles and just winning over the crowd! You know, everyone loves Max! Mike did a killer BBQ for us; the food was fantastic!! We had a wonderful sunny day and it was great to share such a special day with dear friends!! We are blessed beyond belief!

Beautiful Gifts from Godmother

So, you probably recognize this image from the title bar of the blog. It's one of our favorites pictures from Max's first photoshoot. Well, Auntie Becky, drew this amazing rendition for us with pencil and charcoal!! We can't stand it!!! It's such a wonderful heirloom we'll treasure forever!! It's hanging in our living room for all to see!! We had to share with you too!

Like the portrait isn't great enough, that she also made us this super cool Christmas stockings! Which is really great, because we didn't have any! Boy, do we know how to pick a Godmother or what??

Oh yea ... and the other thing we're super excited about is ... BINKIES!!! Max has these binkies that he LOVES and we couldn't find anymore. Well, Becky found them and brough him 4! So, we no longer have to be in a panic that we may lose one! WOOHOO!

Later today, we're dedicating Max to the Lord and having a BIG party! It's going to be a great day!!!

Random acts of cuteness

This is how I woke up to find Max! He has this new thing where he's sleeping with his bum straight up in the air!! I can roll him over and slip a binky in his mouth, but he flips right back up with his little tushie pointing to the sky! Too funny!

And what is the first thing he wants to do when he gets up ... JUMPEROO! Well, mack on some formula, then jumperoo. Hence the bib, if he's not drooling, then he's chumming because he just had his breakfast. But you can't come between a boy and his jumperoo!

Labor Day Weekend

We had a great Labor Day weekend. Tom, Tristan and Linh came to visit us. We had a bit of a PLM party on Friday night. We had some Creeker friends come over and see what the Silvertip software is up to. Max saw the “smart guys” working on code Friday and I think he was taking it all in, staring at what was projected on the wall. He had a great time mingling with old friends, like Auntie Virginia, and making new friends too. He’s such a people person. :)

Saturday we all went out to breakfast then up to Schweitzer for a little beer festival. Max got carded. The rest of the weekend was just time spent with family. That time is so precious, that we really enjoyed it.
